COLLEGE LYF..........

One beautiful chapter in life is college days....
It has its own measures of really really happy moments and traumatizing memories......
So when somebody utters the word college, what comes to your mind ??
lemme list down my personal favorites …the list is quiet long....!! bt still i don mind putting dem up...
I graduated from a not-so-typical ** govt-affiliated college from south tamilnadu....

Class Room :
This is the most fun part of college…Especially with all the rules e meet friends five or six days a week,if we are not sleeping and not bunking class(In the name of “official” stuff or “otherwise” .. A typical class day for me & my pals,would begin with a run @ 9:45 am for the 9.30 am class,(sometimes caught by the hod himself,who’d make us even more late :-/ ) Its a 10 minute walk from hostel..bt v take 20 mins to reach coll..such a lethargic stroll....nt scared at all..luv brking rules...funny pple..dats biotek thrillers!!!!sleeping in our classes, passing chits wid funny msgs and pictures of lectures on dem..passing signals 4m one side to another.., yawning ., dreaming and all such boredum things happen wen d lecture begins esp those of dat of cnp,pv,srs and our dear mokkamams....rest of d time pent in our class wud b really un filled and hilarious..cracking jokes., playing, teasing one and another..my god wat fabulous days were those....

Canteen/mess :
We meet friends, wage war with the mistresses for larger pieces of chicken, bigger watermelon chunks,extra vadai,parotta eating competitions 3 times a week, treats 4 all bdays...dis occured almost most of d time in 4 full years.Not to forget the times we cheated on the mess girls with the token system.It was a fair cheat tho’, I’d say.Canteen breaks with a gang of equally hungry people skipping those morning idlies dat too with 0$ in pockets,thinking dat our frenz wud pay us :-D !! these turn out to be monstrous fun at times!! Equally unforgettable are those chitchats on the hostel verandah with tea & snacks...

Hostel Room:
How can we forget the rooms of first year or our own private world ...Being put up next to the warden’s cell.. Me & my first year roomies were given a safe place to have fun -Second @ third year – Shifted to a higher place of safety !!..jus near d tv room...apt 4 freaky gals like us..wunerful days were those wen we njoyd till d xtreme on hostel day celebrations,feast,new yr..etc.,final yr hostel was a bit boring...dat was bcoz of d horrid warden who banned us frm all d fun...yet..v njoyd ...

Study Holidays :

In which we did everything except studying..hours of untiring gossips,making trips to friend’s homes some 500 miles or more! raising phne bills..internet chats..planning tours and of course acting like studyin wenever amma cmplains dnt waste time nu......


Industrial visit tours :

The tours have nothing to do with education ..bt nly our grt dept s compelled to visit the industries while d guys of other depts are left free :(
– comes once in an year, mostly accompanied by psychic staff (& sometimes the fun ones too) ..but we can’t afford to miss it ..its great fun!! I especially remember in first iv.. the whole class ducking away from the sight of the staff & getting lost in the themepark ..which put us in trouble,leading to a string of events *undiscussable*!....wat a horrid xperience was it!!!
Industrial Visits usually begins on a xtremely jolly note wid guys screaming on d background spraying snow,dancing and making d whole class roar....hmm everything strts wid a nice note nly bt our teachers nvr like us to stay happy...finally our iv sumhw ends wid a sad note..it exclusively happens nly 4 bioteks..(enna kodumai sir ithu!!!)

Lecturers :

Those people who teach you stuff and make u sleep simultaneously
Sick and Boring – 50%
Imsai – 20%
Torture Dharma types – 10%
Arivu Jeevi Type – 5% ( they understand the subject..but cant make us understand)
Jollu Party – 75%

Examssssss …

Terrifying isn’t it..remember the Potenial arrear papers – Down stream Processing,unit operations,mass transfer,bio process ..Danger “antenna” for ece folks.. fluid mechanics for civilians….'computer architecture' for cse folks..Digita Signal Processing for IT ians ...each one had their own share of nightmarish subjects.

Week Test :

This is total fun…It really helped us to find out innovative methods of “bit” shifting..copying..getting caught & escaping!!

Assignment:

This is really pain in the neck… Yes! We got to do it…even if you going to copy it from some so called *brilliant* students,who do it first...Athuvum intha chemical dept iruke…..romba than torture pannuvaangapa!!

OD (On-Duty) :

This is real deal….to bunk the classes…..we got ISTE, IEEE, Symposium,Associations, Sports, Fine Arts(Front Stage, Back Stage),Inter college competitions, Paper Presentation, Project, Tour Arrangement et al., and guys keep inventing more legitimate stuff to bypass the attendance register!

Cultural Fests/ College Day :
Rangolis, Fashion Parade, dances, art 4m wastes,orchestra,skits,add zaps,elocutions,other college guyz &galz .College life is damn colorful!

Apology Letter ,Fines:

The Apology letter is one insanely “kenathnamaana” concept..My college has a “room pootu yosikura gang of officials” for ways to make students tired of being at coll!!!We have to write a letter of apology for everything from shouting in the study hour, bunking the class and staying in hostel without permission, mid-night birthday celebrations (I really don’t get it why innocent girls can’t celebrate b’days too)etc..The funniest part is they impose a limit on the number of apologies that can be written.Its actually gr8t that they don’t have a centralized office server system to keep track of this too..! *Oops am I triggering ideas :P * Enquiry sessions that about 90% of the times end up with a suspension order,which could be a week’s legal holiday for you to chill .If you’ve been lucky enough to endure the ordeal(you usually find it funny..but unlaughable @ that time)the moment you make your Come-back,people treat you like the king of gangsters & you become quite popular!

Autograph Book :
I remember i invested a great deal of money in getting a Nightingale autograph buk. I would not even have spent that much amount in getting sheets for my college lecture notes. This item was not only a prized possession,bt also it showed wat all my class guys thought abt me

Labs,Workshops :

The lab….some of my friends of other depts still have nightmares about the labs..the tough-to-crack ubiquitous engg, professors will literally harass and make them to feel, that dey are the sickest and most dumb among all.But v guys r really gifted wid d labs..our bio-park..its d place were we play while v wrk...v had all d gallas in our lab session nly..bt v were paid for dat regularly everyday b4 prac exams....wanna knw hw?? our strict teachers will make us wait 4 hrs on d dept corridor to get their autographs!!! (i.e, deir precious sign in our record buks)..phew!! bt it was totaly fun!!!

Final Year Project Sessions:
Woha !! FYP Days: These were probably the most unforgettable days of my college life!! asha deeps kandi suki...wat sort of fun v had!!! of course v experienced a lot of moments in which v were screwed upp....bt i;m gona disclose all d matter now...

Glorious days isn’t it…. i'm again one of the persons on earth to miss that life.. I *shamelessly* admit I miss my college life......

REALISING LIFE.....

"Old age is a thief..U will never know when it steals towards u"..With each passing day a growing dread comes into me..Am growing a day older..What have i done??Today i was just sitting on my couch wid my lap and a remote on another hand...and just was simultaneously chatting wid my frenz and surfing over the tv channels too...at dat time a thought struck up on my mind..oh my god!! wat am i doin everyday.....??? just whiling away d time and doin nothin useful????

We have to request our government to help bring justice to the tigers. We have received our freedom and we take great pleasure in celebrating it every year…but the tigers are not free yet. My request to the government is “Please give the remaining 1411 tigers there freedom.” If we (government and common people) do not help the striped creatures now .,

it will be history and our kids will only know the word “T for TIGER”

Whatever it is all, the conclusion is "If you really love a person dearly, and if you are their well wisher", let them go! Do not embarass them with difficult situations.

NOTE: Though every situation need not have a conclusion, it is better to conclude it with some option sometimes!

Hi frenz!!!
today s yet another boring day in my lyf....i was thinking 4m morn wat to put up in my blog today..but for a few mins i hd no idea of wat to write....my cursor kept on blinking for a while like wat i did!!..hmm dat time my grandma cme inside my room and handed over to me my cousins marage invitation..(hmm..lucky cousin!!!)....i was just go throughin it wen i gt a cal frm my brother..he hd sum doubt in radioactive elements (lusu payan enkita poi kekran!!)....sumhw i managed to solve his doubts after referring my books....phew!!! wat a relief ..i sd to myself and hanged up the phne and i continued to look at the marage invitation!!!....it was at dis moment i gt an idea!!!...wat if i combine radio active elements and marage invitaion?????

radioactive chemicals+marriage invitation = chemical invitation......

and so i strtd to design a new chemical invitation......and was really fun designin it!!!!

LEARNING NEVER ENDS!!!!

I well remember one of my seniors telling in our freshers introduction meeting in one of the numerous clubs of our HOSTEL..."In school when the tenth board exams approach we would be advised to learn 4 the particular exam and then we will be well settled for the rest of our lives.. Then will come the 12th board exam....Same dialogue will be repeated....Still BEWARE this dialogue will be oftn repeated"I thought that she was kidding and talking nonsense.(i thought y does one hve to study after finishing our coll studies???)...Today finishing my B.Tech i realize how many times i have heard the words.."Do this exam and u will be WELL SETTLED".."Do that exam and ull be WELL SETTLED"... nu..Phew!!..The whole lot of entrance exams tat i have written and have been advised to write by well wishers of my future.......Pondering today the truth hit on me..This life of ours is a big school and the learning never ends...One can never GET SETTLED in life..Life is one endless search but am no longer weary of learning..Because if one sees the world through this perspective life is a melody and learning is fun...We are simply kids in a treasure hunt searching for our destiny..Some of my frnds tell me that i have a great passion for learning...Actually the reality am a big lazy idiot and what i know is a millionth fraction in the ocean of knowledge...If we look at the world with wonder then everything becomes surprisingly interesting..and all we WANT is MORE experience,knowledge,life and beauty in the world..Dazzled with the world for the millionth time and still in wonder...........Deeps!!!!.

here cumes my work dat helps u to make a mouth-watering wax ice-cream!!!....its easy nd simple jus..try it out !!!

MATERIALS REQ:

-Wax crayons
-Wax chips - white colour( u can get it 4m the store)
note: coloured wax chips r costly ,its btr to use wax crayons instead!!
-Glasses(Of any desired shape)
-twine
-scent(if needed)

INSTRUCTIONS:

-Empty the wax chips in a vessel and den heat it.
-To the mixture add a small pinch of wax crayon to it.
(wax crayon may be of any colour u wish)

-Take the glass u wish ,den tie a wine to a stick and place it on the top of the glass
-Before the mixture cud get cold pour it into the glass
-while pouring add scents if needed using a dropper..(few drops are enough)
-Now ,as u r gonna make an ice cream u can pour hot wax of various colours into the glass,so dat it makes ur ice cream look more colorful and delicious!!!

-And now for the topping :--beat d hot wax with an egg beater

-Wen u beat the wax mixture a concentrated foam like mixture appears..like a precipitate

-take dat carefully with a spoon and place it on the top of the glass such dat it looks like an ice cream scoop!!

-to make the cherry,make a small ball out of wax dat s made up of red color.

(else make a wax ball out of any color and u can even paint it red later)

-to add more beauty u can more hot wax of any color on the top of the ice cream ....it looks like an frooty essence..

Fun Foam Heart Plant Stick

MATERIALS REQUIRED:
- Foam sheet in the colors of red and white

- red sequins or beads

- decorative edged scissors

- thin red ribbon-

-wooden stick

- craft glue for foam

Instructions:
1. Cut out 3 hearts in different sizes. The outermost heart can be cut out using decorative edged scissors to give it a scalloped edge.

2. Glue the hearts over each other and decorate the 2 innermost hearts with sequins.

3. Glue the heart to the wooden stick.

4. Create a bow with the ribbon and tie onto the stick.

Valentine’s Day Craft - Heart Window Decoration

If you like to decorate your windows all year long, then the time between Christmas and spring is the most difficult. Christmas is already over and it is too early to decorate for spring and Easter. If you are not quite sure what to do, this idea could be an answer for the month of February. Since Valentine’s Day is on February 14th, this decoration would be appropriate for the couple of weeks before that special day.

MATERIALS REQ:
-cardboard
- red velvet paper(felt/varnish paper can b used)
- self-adhesive
- 3 small 4mm wooden beads
- red thread(baby ribbon)
- small hole punch
- scissors
INSTRUCTIONS:
-Cut the cardboard in the shape of a heart...& stick white paper over it using glue
-Cut a thin strip of the red paper in the form of a heart and carefully stick onto the cardboard....
-Den cut small hearts from the red paper and stick dem onto the cardboard...
-Punch a small hole on the top and one below.
-tie a thread or a ribbon to the top hole .
-tie another thread along with few beads and tie it to the bottom hole..
-Now ur window hanger s ready....u can apply ur own ideas too!!!

MATERIALS REQ:

- 1 blank card with matching envelope- cream colored textured or plain

- a piece of mesh ribbon cut into threads

- small piece of velvet paper in red(felt/varnish paper can also b used0

- decorative edges scissors

- 3-D tape& scissors

- stick glue

INSTRUCTIONS:
-Cut a straight strip of red velvet paper using the decorative scissors and sick dem to d right hand side of the card.
-Den cut a large equilateral tringle out of d red paper and stick it to d card (right hand side)
-similarly place the threads of d ribbon in the form of a triangle (left hand side)
-cut hearts out of the red paper both big and small and stick it onto the card according to ur wish!!!
-Stick an ' i love u ' tag to the bottom of a heart...
-U can add ur own ideas too by adding sum funky buttons or glitters!!!
-UR card s now ready!!! gift it to ur loved ones...and watch dem blushing!!!

I would like to welcome one & all, who absolutely love the craft at hme!!! All who agree that creating art of any type, experimenting with the papers, mix-n-match of colors gives tremendous satisfaction to the heart n soul. Everything abt making art on the net are put into segregated files in my shelves. Though I really have not tried all of them, but I do expect that at one stage in life, where I will probably get to sit at home ........or even if I dont get to sit at home full time, I will be trying out these craft wofks ranging from crafts made from sand to ceramic etc. etc. Blv me, I am not at all kidding. My family is really tired of having to bear with the bulk of paper,paints and brushes that I refuse to give up.........!!!I look forward in sharing experiences of d works ive done & most of all arts from all around the Globe.
